GLOBE Tech Update
As always, GLOBE continues to work to ensure that your “use” of the website, and associated apps, is as user-friendly as possible. This month, GLOBE is making progress on several enhancements to the website and to the program’s app, GLOBE Observer.
GLOBE Website
- Student Accounts: Improvements to student accounts will make it easier for teachers to create accounts and to verify what data has been entered by that account.
- “GLOBE Teams:” Changes to “GLOBE Teams” will enable community members to see who has entered data for a team, and how much data they have entered.
- “My Observations:” Community members will have a personalized “My Observations” page that will show all the data they have entered for all protocols.
GLOBE Observer App
The hydrosphere protocols are being added to the program’s GLOBE Observer app for trained users. (This is similar to how the atmosphere protocols are now available for trained users.) This enhancement will allow community members to use GLOBE Observer for all hydrology protocols. This update is expected to take place in the late May/early June timeframe.
