Citizen Scientists – Join the GLOBE Mission Mosquito (GMM) Field Measurement Campaign webinar #7 “How Can Mosquito Citizen Science Data Protect Communities from Disease?” on Wednesday, 24 July, at 2:00 p.m. ET.
This webinar will discuss how the GLOBE Observer Mosquito Habitat Mapper tool data, and other mosquito apps, are working to reduce the risk of disease in communities. GMM team member Liz Burck (Institute for Global Environmental Strategies) will present a new educational resource.

The GLOBE Mission Mosquito Campaign
The GMM goal is to create an organized citizen science community that will conduct and report local observations using the GLOBE Observer Mosquito Habitat Mapper App. Using the mobile app, citizen scientists of all ages (including K-12 students) will identify potential breeding sites for mosquitoes, sample and count mosquito larvae, and (with optional equipment), examine and photograph a specimen to identify its genus.
