Keep Up with GLOBE/SMAP Soil Moisture Field Campaign: Blogs, Webinars, New Instructional Video
NASA's Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) mission measures soil moisture from space. SMAP has applications in science, agriculture, and environmental management, each of them vital to Earth's health and sustainability. From understanding the processes that link the water, carbon, and energy cycles to improving weather and climate prediction models, SMAP will advance environmental knowledge.
To keep up with the latest on the Soil Moisture Field Campaign, which runs from 01 October 2015 through 30 April 2016, including past webinars, blogs, and the information necessary to help you collect soil moisture measurements using the SMAP Block Pattern Soil Moisture Protocol, as well as a new protocol instructional video, click here.
And put the date of the next webinar, “1 Year of the SMAP Mission and Global Shout-Outs to all the GLOBE schools/teams collecting SMAP soil Moisture data” on your calendar: 02 February 2015 at 4:00 p.m. ET (9:00 p.m. UTC). You can register here.
The latest blog, “SMAPing with Erika: Combining Moisture Measurements with Other GLOBE Measuremens” is also now online!
