New Partner: The Spark Program
GLOBE welcomes a new partnership with the Spark Program, an education and engagement group associated with the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado USA.
Spark helps schools and the general public learn about the center's science, prepares students for careers in Earth systems research and launches community-driven science projects that leverage NCAR expertise.
Spark director. Raj Pandya, is enthusiastic about the new partnership. "We are excited to include taking GLOBE measurements as one of the experiences school groups can select when they visit the NCAR Mesa Lab, to introduce GLOBE to the many communities, teachers, professors and students who work with Spark." Pandya continued, "We will also incorporate GLOBE into the activities and resources we develop. The GLOBE partnership is a way to formalize and solidify the informal relationship that has existed between the two programs and invites increased collaboration in the days ahead."
