Nominations Open for Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching
Nominations are now open for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST).
The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) are the nation's highest honors for teachers of mathematics and science (including computer science). Awardees serve as models for their colleagues, inspiration to their communities, and leaders in the improvement of mathematics and science education.
Since 1983, more than 4,700 teachers have been recognized for their contributions in the classroom and to their profession. If you know great teachers, nominate them to join this prestigious network of professionals.
This year’s awards will honor mathematics and science (including computer science) teachers working in grades 7-12. Nominations close on April 1, 2017. Click here for nomination information.
Applications are now open – applicants for mathematics and science teachers of grades 7-12 are now open. Applications must be completed by May 1, 2017. Click here to begin an application.
The PAEMST Team will be hosting webinars throughout the cycle to provide an in depth look at the application, feature tips from alumni, and answer your questions as you work through the process.
