Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign Releases Special Arbor Day (26 April) Video – Join the Campaign Today!
Today, 26 April, is Arbor Day. Arbor Day is a special day that is set aside throughout the world to raise awareness of trees and the important role that they play in our environment. The Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign celebrates trees every day with students taking tree height measurements all over the world.
GLOBE would love for you and your students to join us in this campaign, where you will hear from professionals all over the world and how they study and research trees, forests, land cover, and more. You will also hear from students around the world and their research stemming from taking GLOBE protocol measurements. You can also interact with NASA scientists and outreach personnel on the ICESat-2 Mission, a satellite mission that is measuring Earth’s tree heights from space.
The Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign is a fun and educational way to study trees and land cover, as well as interact with students and educators from around the GLOBE.
