YLACES Awards a YES Medal to GLOBE’s Dr. Elena Sparrow
Youth Learning as Citizen Environmental Scientists (YLACES) awards a Youth Environmental Science (YES) Medal annually in “recognition of a significant contribution to youth learning as citizen environmental scientists.” This year’s awardee was GLOBE’s Elena Sparrow of the University of Alaska! GLOBE Ireland Celebrates National Tree Day
GLOBE Ireland teamed up with Green Schools Biodiversity to celebrate National Tree Day with an interactive webinar. The GLOBE Ireland team was delighted to be joined by NASA scientist Brian Campbell, who gave a talk about how NASA uses both satellites and citizen scientist observations to study trees around the globe.
