2015 Dupont Challenge is Open for Submissions

This year's Dupont Challenge (a science essay competition for K-12 students in the USA, Canada, and U.S. territories designed to spark interest in STEM) encourages students to consider how science and innovation can be used to meet the needs of the 21st century for food, energy, and protection. The elementary (science story) division (grades K-5) asks students to create a book or presentation about a STEM topic (either as a classroom or in a small group). The K-5 competition is open through 1 March 2015.
The essay competition (grades 6-12) asks students to write an essay between 700 to 1,000 words about one of these four categories:
- 1. Together, we can feed the world.
- 2. Together, we can build a secure a secure energy future.
- 3. Together, we can protect people and the environment.
- 4. Together, we can be innovative anywhere.
The 6-12 competition is open through 31 January 2015.
